1)Don’t trust anyone but yourself
2)Don’t go with the army(especially if you are a woman)
3)If you are a woman,don’t follow a group of men.One guy is fine,if you know him but always follow rule #1
4)Do not stay in one place for a long time
5)Travel fast
6)Fasten seatbelts(the guy in Zombie land does have a point)
7)When possible prefer bicycles(they can pass traffic and don’t make noise like cars)
8)Don’t carry too many things with you
Here is a list of what you should take
Water
high energy foods(try keeping a balance,too much sugar will tire you off,try consuming bread based food for the first days)
Medical supply(you will need it eventually since there will be no doctors around,and you don’t want to be running around looking for it in a case of emergency)Basically take you with you some Antibiotics,pain killers,Wound care supply(in case you get hurt really bad for example there are stick on stiches for the bad cuts) and anything you might need according to your health state(for example I would need some medicine for stomachache,my mother would need supplied for the allergies.In case you need to run you can hide the medical supplies in a safe spot and go back to get it later.
Killing machines: I wouldn’t recommend guns.They make too much noise and you might run out of ammo.Of course you will need one for long distance shoots,just use them wisely.Where you will get them?Try dead cups or police stations(they will probably leave the guns unguarded during the chaos.Just wait until everyone is gone and then go and get them(you don’t want the officers shooting you if they see you stealing the guns).Don't try looking for gun stores.Most of them have such a good security that you couldn't even break down the door.Here in Athens especially I know 4 gun stores,they all have steal metal doors and it is impossible to break in.Even if you are lucky and the virus spreads while these stores are open,you might get shot during the chaos by someone who already got weapons.Katanas and swords are also not a good idea if you don’t know how to use them,basically because you might pick up a bad quality sword that would break after a hit or two and you would find yourselves weaponless.Now axes that’s what I recommend,always carry an axe with you.Bows and arrows don’t make any noise and if you have good aim you can hit many of the undead.Baseball bats can help you keep up for a while but they will break eventually.Basically focused on long metallic stuff and distance hitting weapons or fire(this is were the Molotov will be useful).BTW always keep a knife hidden on you(boots shocks)

You could use some cigarettes I guess and you could carry one ore two memos but do not overdo it carrying around family albums and stuff.You can always lock them somewhere safe and get them back once the chaos is over.Memos won’t keep you alive:food,medicine and weapons will.
9)pick your clothes carefully depending on the weather.Pick clothes that will help you move fast and certainly not buggy clothes.It is not time to think whether you look gorgeous or not.Pick up some tights(if its winter),a nice flight(you can sew some CD on the inside,they will protect you from a deadly bite) pick some nice boots or running shoes(my choice would be doc martens boots basically because they aren’t heavy,easy to run while wearing them and they are made by hard material no zombie can bite your feet,definitely don’t wear all star or any cotton made shoes),always wear shocks,gloves,hat(if it’s summer)and a tight shirt(again if it is summer)try not leaving many areas of your body exposed.
10)Run as fast as you can and never look back
11)Kill anyone who got bitten.
12)If you wear glasses and can’t see without them use some tape to keep them attached on you head.You don’t want to be running around blind.You can also carry around a pair of lenses in case your glasses get broken(credits to Atridis)
13)Never play hero.
14)Try finding out what attracts the dead to the living ones.If it’s noise,smell or sight.If it’s noise alrighty just keep quiet,if it’s smell you can try covering your smell with mud and see if the zombies still chase you,if mud doesn’t work try some zombie blood on clothes(just make sure it doesn’t get on you skin,mouth eyes.)If it doesn’t work..run for it.If its all 3 of them then once again run for it.
15)Don’t ever put your guard down
16)If you are driving a car you can do some zombie proof alterations!
17)Look if the virus is spread on the animals as well.If the animals are still okay try hiding on the mountains,forest jungle whatever..Mother nature will do her business.No zombie can survive wolves and bears,but you can.
18)Try observing how the zombies act near water.If they can get in water or if they are too stupid to do it.That way you can see whether you can live on a boat or not.Again if they do walk or swim they can never get in a yacht if the ladder isn’t down so you will be safe.
19)Don’t risk running around at night
20If you are driving make sure you have extra gasoline in the back of your car
21)Don’t pick fabulous or fast cars,pick the ass kicking .Hummer would be my choice.Jeeps.4x4,but I think they would also be a wrong choice since they run out off gas pretty fast so my second choice would be something not too fast but safe as well.Of course I wouldn’t pick a car.I would prefer a bike.
22)Observe the zombies.Do they run,do they crawl.This will help you taking fast choices.
23)Better get away from the infection point ASAP.They will probably bomb that area,and you don’t want to be there
24)This is probably chronically my first rule but it is not as important as rule number one.Don’t try going with the crowd,don’t try escaping with them.The chances of surviving when you are with the crowd are very low.Just stay hidden until the panic is over
25)Sleep somewhere where the zombies can’t get you and you can get away from there easily if needed.You can also put some traps and alarms around the area to warn you if a zombie is approaching.
26)always know your way out of a building
27)If the zombies are attracted to light(sight) you can use that for your advantage.Try attracting them, to an area using the light(during night)and put some bombs around(if you know how to do it,if not try finding out)once you put the lights on run like hell and wait for the zombies to BURN BABY BURN.
28)If the animals can also get infected you are screwed basically,because they have four legs or they can fly and basically they are more dangerous than humans when it comes to stuff like that(remember resident evil?the dogs were far harder to kill or run away from than the humans).So stay away from the animals.
29)Believe in yourself but do not overdo it.Too much confidence can get you killed.
30)Keep your mind clear and focused.Company with people is good.Just don’t forget rule number one.You can talk to them,share your food with them,try to help,just don’t trust them.
31) Almost forgot an important rule(basically because everyone knows it).Always aim for the head.How can a head with no body or a ruined mouth/head bite you?It can’t.(make sure you killed the zombie,or just cut off it’s head.)
Now why rule number one is so important?Because during chaos people go crazy,they can feed you to the zombies to save their lives,they can kill you to steal your food and ammo.Men especially during every war on this planet go mad as hell.Do you know what they do?They rape women.They do not think about surviving.Killing and chaos first strikes men,basically because they are attracted to violence,and that drives them crazy.Of course not every man will do that,but I would never risk my life for a man that might rape me and kill me just for the fun.Women might have low chances of surviving basically because of their days of the month that make them fragile,of the breasts going up and down and slowing them down while running,and basically because they don’t have the violence instinct that men have,but most of them won’t go crazy during the chaos,and they wont rape anyone.Yes I know I’ve been mentioning the raping thing too much,but if history taught me something is that during war this is the only thing that most of the guys enjoy,while girls can live without sex for long.
One last thing and this is not a rule it is just a naive thought.Try not killing anyone for your survival,try not leaving anyone behind if it is possible and try helping others if it is possible.Just do not trust them.Human are far more dangerous than zombies.
P.S.Ok we will never have a zombie panic…but who knows ?
